Owls have been saving my creative life last 12 years living here. A lot of people get weirded out by owl meanings. But remember they are symbol of learning , protection and transition. Creativity is definitely all about that to me. I don’t really care what animal is trending at the moment. I will always keep on painting owls. I was always drawn to native #aborigine in #taipei while I was growing up. And after visiting #taiwan in a more focused adult way.. I was able to collect and learn some interesting information. Their music, jewelry way of life was beautiful. Lots of interesting traditions like weaving thin bamboo strips used for clothing to housewares. I imagine this young girl just starting her morning routine walking through the mountains collecting spices or herbs from plants to prepare for the evening communal dinner. I may continue in series of this, maybe play with it in procreate, or mixmedia. Maybe one large painting. Who knows.. but right now she is here, filled with bright clear optimism. She inspires me to connect and dig deeper. To reflect and rejoice in gratitude.
